Metalflake was founded in 1967 by Dennis Fernie. What began as a small crash-repair business developed into the national distribution business it is today. The Fernie family remains involved, alongside an experienced team that includes people who have spent decades with the company.
That history matters because we don't just sell boxes. Automotive paint, preparation, repair and finishing are technical jobs, and customers often need help understanding which products belong together.

From everyday refinishing to unusual finishes
Alongside mainstream automotive refinishing supplies, Metalflake specialises in special-effect coatings and is the UK distributor for the original Metalflake paint system. Over the years our products have been used on cars, boats, fairground rides, machinery and many other specialist projects.
